To apply for any of G&C Mutual Bank’s credit cards, you must be able to satisfy the following criteria:

  • Be an Australian or New Zealand citizen or Australian permanent resident

  • Have a good credit rating
  • Not be going through bankruptcy

When your card arrives, you’ll need to activate the card before you can use it to make purchases. G&C Mutual Bank says you can activate your card via online banking, the mobile app or calling G&C Mutual Bank.

When interest is charged

When interest is not charged

Up to 50 interest-free days currently apply to G&C Mutual Bank credit cards. Interest-free days only apply as long as you have paid the balance in full for the previous month’s statement and for the current month’s statement.

Your credit limit for a G&C Mutual Bank credit card will be determined based on the information you provide in your application, keeping in mind the minimum and maximum credit limits available for each card.

If you wish to change the credit limit on your card, you can apply for this at any time. You can submit the request by emailing or calling G&C Mutual Bank. G&C Mutual Bank may approve or reject such requests based on their lending criteria.

You can close your G&C Mutual Bank credit card account at any time by sending a written request to your nearest branch. Your card balance will need to be repaid in full even after the card is closed, and you will continue to receive monthly statements until your card balance is fully repaid.
